Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation

At Bugyal Foundation, we believe that the true soul of India lives in its villages. Our Rural Development initiatives are designed to uplift the underprivileged communities of Uttarakhand by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and improving basic infrastructure.

Poverty in the Himalayas is often linked to geographical isolation and a lack of modern resources. Through our Poverty Alleviation programs, we work to provide vocational training and support local entrepreneurship, helping families move out of the cycle of poverty. We focus on enhancing the skills of rural youth and women so they can lead dignified lives.

With a presence in over 40 villages, we have witnessed how small interventions—like teaching better agricultural practices or improving water resources—can lead to massive shifts in community welfare. Our goal is to build self-reliant villages where every family has the security of income and every individual has the hope of a brighter tomorrow.
